BEVERLY HILLS, May 11, (THEWILL) – President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday disclosed that he would not demand an apology from the United Kingdom head of government, David Cameroon for labeling Nigeria as a “fantastically corrupt” country, stressing that such apology will not be of any benefit to him.

Buhari, who is currently in London for an anti-corruption summit billed to start on Thursday, will be presenting a keynote address entitled: “Why We Must Tackle Corruption Together” at the conference.

The Nigeria leader, according to a tweet by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, revealed that he would rather ask the British Prime Minister, Cameron to ensure the return of Nigeria’s stolen assets stashed in his country.

“PMB to UK: Am not going to demand any apology. All I’ll demand is return of assets. What would I do with apology? I need something tangible,” Adesina wrote via the social media.
