August 30, (THEWILL) – Yolanda Okereke, wife of late actor, Karibi Fubara, has taken to her Instagram page, to write her heartfelt tribute to the late actor, in celebration of his posthumous birthday.
In 2020, the actor had revealed how he found out he had a large mid-stage kidney tumour/cancer.
He also regularly shared his journey to recovery on Instagram. He announced that he had undergone a successful surgery, which removed about 90 percent of the tumour. However, he died in December 2021.
Celebrating his posthumous birthday today, Okereke wrote,
“H. A. P. P. Y. B. I. R. T. H D. A. Y. C. H. I. E. F. Its your birthday today. I know birthdays aren’t really your thing, but this one is special. Because I know you are dancing to Bobby Brown’s “Every Little Step in Heaven” or Silk Sonic’s “Leave The Door Open” and the Angels are cheering you on.
“I am happy you are in a good place and filled with so much joy. Everyday is a good day. Some better than others. I’ve had the chance to do something better, as you would want me to. It’s not the same with you not around, but I know you are still with me and still with us.
“I am not sad. I am happy Because the world got to experience you and kept a piece of you in their heart. I do not go by what I feel. I go by what I believe. Knowing you were here. You lived A Good Life.
“You Lived A Full Life. I have found my gift in this pain. I cannot wait to share it with the world. Thank you for sharing your Life With Me. Thank you for making me a Better Person. Happy Birthday My Baby Boy.
“Chief Black lives on. Love you”, she wrote.
