October 26, (THEWILL) – Nollywood actor, Olajide Kareem, aka Seun Egbegbe, has stated that he is now a changed man after he became born again in prison.
He disclosed this while having an interview with BBC Yoruba.
Egbegbe revealed that being born-again has been his best achievement in life.
The movie producer also said there is now a 100% difference between the Egbegbe of then and now. He said he overcome his anger issues while in prison.
“I’m not a saint, but I’m grateful to God that he allowed me to go to prison to know what they call life. To know my right from my left.
“I am born-again now, there’s a difference between the Seun Egbegbe, of before and now. There’s a 100% difference.
“I will never raise my hand to hit any woman again. No matter what your woman does, don’t hit her. Any man that raises his hand to hit a woman cannot do anything with that hand again”, he stated.
On February 10, 2017, Egbegbe was remanded in prison for allegedly obtaining money by false pretence from about 40 Bureaus De Change operators.
He was said to have obtained the money between 2015 to 2017.
The filmmaker was accused of swindling the BDC operators by claiming that he had naira to change into foreign currencies.
He was arraigned by the police for fraud involving $90,000 and £12,550, and N39,098,100.
