December 30, (THEWILL) – The spokesman of the Brotherhood of the Cross and Star (BCS) and a lecturer in the Department of History at Akwa Ibom State University, Dr. Amah Williams, says human civilization has failed the world.
Dr. Williams made this known in his lecture during the 5th Leader Olumba Obu Annual Public Lecture with the theme: “The Impact of God’s Manifestation On Human Civilization.”
He posited that all the ideas of man are shallow and embedded in vanity and Leader Olumba Obu has brought a new civilization, which is based on the concept of love for one another, forgiveness and unity.
“All the ideas of man are shallow and all embedded in vanity and today, Leader Olumba Obu has brought a new civilization which is based on the precept and concept of love for one another, forgiveness and the unity of God’s creation including animals.
“This is the teaching leader Obu brought and today we are reflecting on that teaching.
“The civilization of man will lead us to self-destruction, doom, hatred, racial division, and all the problems we are having in the world today.
“Leader Obu has come up with the concept of universal love where you love everything. When man imbibes this new civilization there will be peace in the entire world,” he said.
Other speakers, including Prof. Paul Kolade Tubi, lecturer at the Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State, asserted that there is God and that He does reveal himself to human beings.
He called on Nigeria’s political and religious leaders to unite and end the ongoing wanton killings of Nigerians.
In his advice and blessings, Leader Obu said the annual public lecture series affords all the opportunity to their minds, body and spirit for greater consciousness in readiness for a better future.
Leader Obu whose message was presented by Senator B. Degi further said the manifestation of the Holy Father has impacted the human race greatly.
He surmised that the much sought-after salvation lies only with the Holy Father and this goes beyond our knowledge of science, technology and African Traditional Religion.
