October 19, (THEWILL) – British heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and Derek Chisora are close to agreeing to a trilogy fight for Fury’s WBC heavyweight title on December 3 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.
In their two prior contests, “The Gypsy King” prevailed via unanimous decision in July 2011 and corner stoppage in the tenth round in November three years after.
The latest tentative December bout will be the first time that Fury will return to the ring after the British boxer claimed to have hung his boxing gloves in the aftermath of the bout against Dillian Whyte.
THEWILL recalls that in April this year, Fury defeated Whyte via TKO in the sixth round. Fury has won five straight matches since his first encounter with American boxer Deontay Wilder, which ended in a draw in December 2018.
Born in Zimbabwe but raised in the UK, Fury’s challenger Chisora most recently ended a three-fight losing streak when, in July, he defeated Kubrat Pulev by split decision.
