July 12, (THEWILL) – The Ogun State Government website (OgunState.gov.ng) has been compromised by hackers.

The attack was carried out in the early hours of Wednesday. Identified as Aliester Crowley, alias “Anon Ghost”, the Hackers claimed to be situated in the Maldives.

A check on the website on Wednesday morning, flagged: “We are Anon Ghost. We are legendary; forgive us not; forget us not; and prepare for us.”

The hackers also inserted a link to a Youtube page, @AliesterCrowleyMV, where videos of other website takeovers are posted, including some belonging to the Mexican Government.

The Youtube page also contains some hacking tips and tricks, including authentication bypass, remote code execution and reverse engineering.

The Ogun State Government has previously been the target of hacker attacks. Cyber terrorists took control of the website in 2015 and requested that the State Government increase its security, which is similar to the most recent incident that has just happened in Ogun State.
