June 28, (THEWILL) – The wife of the Chairman, Zamfara State Union of Local Government Employees, Sanusi Mohammed Gusau, has been reportedly abducted.
The wife, Ramatu Yunusa, who is nine months pregnant, was abducted from her husband’s house in Damba Gusau, early Tuesday morning.
Confirming the incident, Gusau said the gunmen broke into his house around 1 am last night and abducted his pregnant wife.
“They jumped over the wall and broke my door, but before they could enter my room, I was able to hide somewhere.
“When they searched the house and could not see me, they abducted my pregnant wife, Ramatu. She could give birth anytime from now because her expected delivery date is in this week”, he said, adding that the abductors have not contacted him for ransom.
