BEVERLY HILLS, February 24, (THEWILL) – Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the Gombe North Senate race, has suffered a humiliating defeat in the hands of incumbent Senator, Sa’idu Alkali of the All Progressives Congress, APC, according to an announcement by Returning Officer, Professor Umar Gurama.
Senator Alkali polled 152, 546, while Dankwambo polled 88, 016 votes.
THEWILL recalls that Dankwambo was a presidential aspirant of the PDP but lost at the primary.
