Governor Abba Yusuf Appoints 94 Additional Media Aides

September 27, (THEWILL) – Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has approved the appointment of 94 additional media aides made up of Senior Special Reporters (SSRs) and Special Reporters (SRs).

This is contained in a statement issued to newsmen in Kano by his Chief Press Secretary, Malam Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Dawakin Tofa said the aides were Social Media Influencers appointed as Senior Special Reporters (SSRs) and Special Reporters (SRs).

He said their appointment was in line with the commitment of Governor Abba Yusuf’s administration to promote accessibility to information in order to improve good governance in the state.

According to him, the SSRs and SRs have been posted to various Ministries, Departments and Agencies(MDAs) “to complement the drive for transparency and accountability through information dissemination on government policies and programmes.”

The Chief Press Secretary gave the names of the appointees to include:Shema’u Maigida Kachako, Senior Special Reporter I, ARTV,Wasila Yunusa Buhari, Senior Special Reporter II, ARTV,Abdullahi Sarki Fulani, Senior Special Reporter, Film Censorship Board and Shehu Bello Bagwai, Special Reporter, Film Censorship Board,Mukhtar S. Gwarzo, Senior Special Reporter, Guidance and Counselling and Hayat Yanchibi, Special Reporter, Guidance and Counselling.

Others, he said, also included: Nura Bulaki Rano, Senior Special Reporter, Housing Corporation,Sadiq Bala Jibril, Special Reporter, Housing Corporation and Ismail Dokadawa, Senior Special Reporter, Hospitality Management Institute.

While congratulating the new appointees, the governor urged them to discharge their responsibilities in accordance with the ethics of media and digital communication, the statement added.
