Gov.Yusuf Celebrates Sen.Kwankwaso @67

October 21 (THEWILL) – Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has congratulated the leader of the Kwankwasiyya movement and New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, on the occasion of his 67th birthday.

The congratulatory message is contained in a statement distributed to newsmen in Kano on Saturday by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

In the message, Governor Yusuf described Sen.Kwankwaso as “a man of principle, courage, patience, perseverance and foresight.”

“Your ideology of human capital development and the passion for the masses is a great example to all contemporary leaders,” the governor said.

He also said that the monumental achievements and the groundbreaking record of the celebrant speak volumes of his “selflessness and political dexterity to serve our dear state and the nation at all times.”

The governor prayed that Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso would continue to wax stronger in good health and wisdom to lead his mammoth supporters to the pinnacle in no distant time in Allah’s will.

Our Correspondent reports that Kano is awash with activities marking the birthday anniversary of the NNPP national leader, which include the launching of a foreign scholarship scheme for 1,001 post-graduate students, sponsored by the State Government,
to persue various post graduate programmes in India and Uganda.

Governor Yusuf inaugurated the scheme beginning with 550 students,out of whom 150 had departed for India and Uganda through the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport on Friday.

The birthday celebration also featured the inauguration of the Majidadi Institute of Qur’anic Research and Advancement named after the late father of Sen.Kwankwaso,Alhaji Musa Saleh Kwankwaso.

The Institute which is located at Miller Road,Kano, was inaugurated by Governor Yusuf on Saturday,with the Founder of the school,Sen.Kwankwaso, hundreds of NNPP supporters,Kano Sate Government functionaries and Islamic Clerics,among others, in attendance.
