July 30, (THEWILL) – Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has appointed a new Management Committee for Kano Pillars Football Club.
This decision comes after the recent expiration and dissolution of the previous management board. The announcement was made through a statement by the Governor’s Spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
Ali Muhammed Umar will lead the Committee as Chairman. Other members include Salisu Kosawa, Yusuf Danladi, Nasiru Bello, Muhammad Ibrahim, Muhammad Usman, and Muhammad Danjuma Gwarzo.
Additional appointees are Mustapha Usman Darma, Umar Dankura, Ahmad Musbahu, Rabiu Abdullahi, and Engr. Usman Kofar Naisa. Abubakar Isah Dandago Yamalash and Ismail Abba Tangalash will serve as Media Director and Deputy Media Director, respectively.
Yusuf has stated his confidence in the ability of Committee members to use their experience to benefit Kano Pillars. The new board is expected to collaborate with the state Ministry of Youth and Sport and other relevant stakeholders in the sports industry to support the football club.
Kano Pillars, a Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) team, is owned by the State. The appointment of this new management committee marks a fresh start for the club in 2024.
