August 24, (THEWILL) – Benue State Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, will on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, swear in his newly appointed Commissioners and Special Advisers.
The event is scheduled to hold at the New Banquet Hall, Government House, Makurdi, Benue State, by 10:00 am.
A statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Sir Tersoo Kula, listed the Commissioners to include Joyce Luga from Gboko; Barr. Omale Omale – Apa; Dr. Yanmar Ortese – Guma; Rev. Dr. Frederick Ikyaan – Gwer-West and Hon. Ugwu Odoh from Ogbadibo.
Also to be sworn in are Hon. Kwaghba Amande from Katsina-Ala; Matthew Aboh – Ukum; Tiza Imojime – Buruku; Aondowase Kunde – Konshisha; Prof. Jonah Ogbaji – Oju; Barr. Martin Shaager – Ushongo; Michael Oglegba – Otukpo; Ann Itodo – Okpokwu and Barr. Fidelis Mnyim, who hails from Makurdi Local Government Area.
Others are Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange – Ushongo; Rt. Hon. Nick Oworo – Obi as well as Mr Alumo Orpin from Tarka Local Government Council.
According to the statement, the event is strictly by invitation and directs each nominee to be sworn in to come to the venue with a maximum of two guests.
It will be recalled that the State House of Assembly had earlier cleared Dr. Dennis Akura among others who will also take the oath of office as Special Advisers on Tuesday, August 29, 2023.
