SAN FRANCISCO, April 14, (THEWILL) – The National Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has asked a former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido, to proceed on self-isolation.
The NCDC gave the directive after it was discovered that Lamido had attended a funeral with a COVID-19 patient.
The former governor who made this known via his Facebook page said the NCDC officials gave the advice via text message on Monday.
According to him, the message was sent by Dr Imam Wada Bello, Director of Public Health, Kano State Ministry of Health, and Secretary COVID-19 State Taskforce.

“Assalamu Alaykum Your Excellency Sir. As part of our Covid-19 contact tracing, your name was mentioned among other dignitaries that attended the funeral at Koki on Thursday.
“We would like to have your kind permission for our RRT to evaluate your risk and possibly take sample,” the message reads.
In his response to the SMS, he wrote: “Sure, I am available any time you need me, let me know when.”
