July 12, (THEWILL) – The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF), has appointed Dr Folarin Alayande, as Non-Executive Director to the GLEIF Board.
GLEIF also made three additional appointments to its Board of Directors.
The new members, GLEIF said will bring diverse expertise from various sectors and markets, to further enrich the strategic vision and governance of the organisation.

Dr Folarin Alayande is an international development economist, technology investor and financial services executive.
With a track record of over two decades in corporate transformation, he has advised and worked with global and emerging market corporations at the intersection of digital technologies and finance.
Educated at The London School of Economics in finance and accounting, Dr Alayande has held leadership roles at Accenture and served as the Chief Strategy Officer of FBN Holdings Plc.
He has also served in the Presidency of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as a Senior Special Assistant to the President on Economic Recovery/Co-ordinator of the Economic Plan Implementation Unit.
Dr Alayande is currently Vice President Public Sector, Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa at Mastercard.
