September 04, (THEWILL) – Turkish football club Galatasaray, has confirmed the loan signing of Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, for the remainder of the 2024/2025 season. The Nigerian international, aged 25, will earn a salary of €6 million during his time with the 24-time Super Lig champions.

Osimhen arrived in Istanbul in the early hours of Wednesday morning, to finalise the deal. This transfer comes shortly after failed moves to Chelsea and Al Ahli, leaving Osimhen in a challenging position as the European transfer window approached its end. His absence from Napoli’s squad highlighted a growing rift between the player and the club, which had developed over the past year.

The Turkish transfer window remains open, allowing Galatasaray to step in with an offer that benefits all parties involved. Osimhen’s departure from Napoli comes at a time when the club needed to resolve ongoing tensions with the striker. The move marks a fresh start for him in Turkey, where he aims to rediscover his form and contribute to Galatasaray’s ambitions.
