February 25, (THEWILL) – Fulham and Wolverhampton Wanderers battled to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage on Friday night.
Wolves dominated possession early on and took a 23rd minute lead through Pablo Sarabia’s half-volley for his first goal in the English Premier League. Fulham struggled in the first half, managing just one notable chance with a fine save from Jose Sa denying Carlos Vinicius.
However, Fulham came out of the break with renewed energy and created a few chances of their own, with Wolves still pushing for a second goal. Four minutes after the hour mark, substitute, Manor Solomon, found the equaliser for Fulham with a curling effort from the left side.
Wolves continued to press for a winner, but Fulham’s defence held firm, and the match ended in a draw. It is a result that leaves Fulham in 6th place, while Wolves are down in 15th. Both sides will be looking to improve to finish the season strongly.
On Tuesday, Fulham welcome Leeds in a home tie in the FA Cup competition, while Wolves will next face the wounded Reds of Liverpool in the EPL on March 1.
