January 15, (THEWILL) – The Flying Eagles, Nigeria’s national U-20 football team, took Global Soccer Academy to the cleaners in a friendly match at the FIFA Goal Project Pitch in Abuja, on Saturday, which ended 5-1.

The game was a showcase of the young players’ skills and an opportunity for the team to build momentum ahead of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, with Yahaya Ibrahim scoring the first goal of the game just 11 minutes into the match.

Despite this early lead, the Flying Eagles struggled to add to their advantage in the first half, with both teams locked in a tight battle for control of the game. However, the Flying Eagles came out of the halftime break with renewed energy and determination, and Jude Sunday quickly increased the deficit for Global Soccer Academy just four minutes after the restart.
