SAN FRANCISCO, February 13, (THEWILL) – Four persons were killed in Boko Haram night raid of a village in Borno, the Chairman of Borno State Emergency Management Agency, Engr. Ahmed Satomi told THEWILL on phone.
Satomi, who spoke on phone on Friday, said the terrorists attacked Shuwari in Konduga local government area of Borno, in the troubled Northeastern region of Nigeria on Thursday night.
He revealed that the hoodlums stormed Shuwari village in Konduga local government area, killing four civilians, looted and carted away food items as well as burnt down the village.
He said that some lucky villagers were able to flee to nearly Dalori IDPs camp and Maiduguri for safety of their lives.
“We have gone to the village on Friday in the morning to evacuate the victims, four people were killed, they looted and carted away the food items after they set the whole village ablaze,” he stated.
Shuwari is about 13 miles away from Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.
In the last two week after a lull in attacks, the Boko Haram insurgents have continued to intensify attacks in the troubled Borno State leading to the death of hundreds of civilians and lost of properties worth millions of Naira.
