September 23, (THEWILL) – A petrochemical factory in the Ilupeju area of Lagos State, Mega Plastic, was on Saturday, gutted by fire.
The Director, Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Adeseye Margaret, who confirmed the incident, said the storage and factory sections of the company were badly affected by the inferno.
Margret said the Service received an emergency alert on the incident at 07:26 am on Saturday, adding that operatives from Bolade and Alausa fire stations swiftly took control of the situation.
She added that no lives were lost and no one sustained injury from the fire outbreak.
