July 30, (THEWILL) – Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has imposed a state-wide dusk to dawn curfew, as rampaging residents attack warehouses and other private business premises, carting away foodstuff.
A statement issued on Sunday, by Humwashi Wonosikou, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, said the curfew takes immediate effect from Sunday, July 30, 2023.
“With the curfew imposed, there will be no movement throughout the state.
“The Governor is appealing to citizens and residents of the state to comply with the directive”, he said, adding that only those on essential duties with valid identification would be permitted to move around during the period of the curfew.
