SAN FRANCISCO, December 24, (THEWILL) – Abuja based creative director of MOMO Couture, Fati Mohammed Asibelua has welcomed twin babies.
Fati who is in her mid 40s now, got married to billionaire oil magnate and chairman of Equinox Group Limited, Mohammed Asibelua and had been unable to conceive 16 years into the union. As is the case of many Nigerian men, her husband perhaps in his desperation for a heir got involved with Lagos big girl, Marifa Witte who during the course of their relationship got pregnant for him.
As expected, this plunged Fati and her husband’s marriage into troubled waters especially when Marifa after birthing a child, got spoiled silly by Mohammed. As a result of this Fati went quite on the fashion scene and didn’t participate in any international and local fashion shows.
The renowned designer was however, rewarded for her patience and perseverance when three years after her husband’s mistress put to bed, she also took in and has now delivered twins- a boy and girl!
The couple announced the birth of the twins via Facebook and they have since been christened Misa Alba and Micah Amier Asibelua.
We can only imagine the joy that must be flowing through Fati’s heart on this miraculous feat and how it’s going to translate into her next collection.
