Ex-Commissioner’s Wife Killed In Ibadan

June 25, (THEWILL) – Gunmen on Friday, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, killed Mrs. Olayemi Odetomi, the wife of a former Commissioner in the state.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Adewale Osifeso, said the deceased was killed in her Akobo home Friday morning.
“The deceased, Olayemi Odetomi, aged 66yrs, died on the spot after being shot during a robbery incident which occurred during the early hours of Friday 25th June, 2021 in her home. Updates on Investigations would be provided in due course,” Osifeso said.
Her husband, Peter Odetomi, was the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, during the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s tenure.
He was, also, a former Chairman of the Ogbomoso South Local Government.
Odetomi was unavailable for comments on the incident as at Press time.
