Ex-APC Political Office Holders Form Forum To Alleviate Hunger In Kano

August 14, (THEWILL) – Former political office holders in Kano State, both state and national, who served during the immediate past administration of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje, have formed a forum to alleviate hunger among the people of the state.

Known as the APC Strong Forum, the group is led by the former Managing Director of the Kano State Water Board, Dr. Garba Ahmad.

In its first outing on Wednesday, the forum distributed 2,481 10kg bags of rice to the people.

Addressing newsmen during the distribution exercise, Ahmad said the rice was donated by the Executive Director of the National Rural Electrification Agency, Abba Ganduje, as a gesture to support the forum’s activities.

“The Forum is made up of Former APC political office holders in Kano that include commissioners, managing directors, special assistants, legislators and others.

“We call it the APC Strong Forum made up of all the political office holders under the immediate past government of Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

“The forum is meant to assist in alleviating the hardships currently being faced by the people of the state.

“We, therefore, formed the forum in order to assist in alleviating the suffering of the masses in Kano State, irrespective of their political inclinations.

“This particular gesture is donated by Abba Ganduje, the Executive Director, National Rural Electrification Agency, and 2,841 persons are going to benefit from it in Kano State.

“Being that the APC is the strongest party, not only in Nigeria but in Africa, and in its position as a leading political party, everyone is eligible to benefit, irrespective of their inclinations,” he said.
