Everton Beef Up Attack With Loan Signing Of Leeds’ Harrison

August 14, (THEWILL) – Everton have added firepower to their frontline with the acquisition of Leeds United winger, Jack Harrison, on a season-long loan.

The 26-year-old wide player joins the Toffees after Leeds were relegated from the English Premier League last season. Harrison travelled to Merseyside over the weekend to finalise the move, successfully passing a medical before putting pen to paper on the contract early Monday morning.

The wide player becomes Everton’s fourth signing under manager Sean Dyche. The club has already brought in Arnaut Danjuma, Ashley Young and Youssef Chermiti as it aims to avoid another close brush with relegation. Harrison will continue rehabbing a minor hip injury before joining team training.

Everton opened the new English Premier League season with a disappointing 1-0 home loss against Fulham last Saturday. Harrison will look to boost an attack that has struggled to score goals over the past year. His pace and crossing ability from the wing could add a new dimension once he is match fit.

Harrison scored 34 goals during his time at Leeds and helped the club end a 16-year absence from the EPL. He was a key part of the squad that earned promotion and signed a new 5-year contract in April before Leeds’ relegation was confirmed. The winger becomes the 9th first-team player to depart Elland Road this summer.
