Israel’s Ligat Haal club Maccabi booked their place in Monday’s draw thanks to some stubborn defending and Enric Saborit’s stunning winner.
The Yellows are in the draw for the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League for the first time since 2013/14. Group stage Turkish debutants Sivasspor worked hard on the night but were unable to truly test Daniel Tenenbaum in the Maccabi goal and finished third.
Villarreal – Qarabag FK
UEFA confirmed that the UEFA Europa League match between Villarreal CF and Qarabag FK, planned for Thursday, December 10 in Villarreal, was not going to take place as scheduled.
Although they promised to make more information regarding the status of the match available in due course, it was not entirely necessary to determine how the group ended as the standings will not change whatever the result.
