Erelu Okin Becomes Newark Citizen, Bags United States Congressional Award

December 10, (THEWILL) – Nigerian philanthropist Dr Pearl Chidinma Ogbulu, popular for her chieftaincy title, Erelu Okin, has become a Newark, New Jersey citizen.

She was honoured with citizenship during her recent trip to New Jersey.

The Mayor of Newark, Nas J. Baraka, honoured the socialite for her great humanitarian efforts channelled through educational projects for school children. Assistance towards widows, orphans and differently-abled people in society.

The mother of one was also honoured with the United States Congressional award by Joe Danielsen, New Jersey General Assemblyman.

She was honoured for her humanitarian contribution to Nigeria and the diaspora.

The elated awardee took to Instagram to pen her appreciation for the two honour which was bestowed on her.

“This is an incredible moment for me, I am almost incapable of finding the right words to convey my sincere appreciation.

“Thank you for giving me this recognition. I don’t take it for granted. On behalf of myself, my family and the kingdom in which I am Erelu Okin, I say Thank you”, she wrote.
