November 11, (THEWILL) – The Premier League season dates for the 2022/23 have been announced. The schedule has been changed to accommodate the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be held in the middle of the domestic calendar.
The Premier League season will begin on August 6, 2022. Matchday 16, November 12-13, will be the final round of matches contested before the World Cup tournament’s call-up process begins on Monday, November 14.
Following the FIFA World Cup final on Sunday, December 18, 2022, the league will resume on Boxing Day.
The campaign’s final match round will take place on May 28, 2023, with all games starting at the same time as is the standard custom of the English Premier League.
