January 13, (THEWILL) – Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of iconic singer, Elvis Presley, passed away at the age of 54 after suffering a cardiac arrest.
The singer and only child of the music icon was rushed to the hospital on Thursday, January 12, after having a cardiac arrest.
The smoky-voiced artiste and songwriter, who led a soap opera existence as the only child of Elvis Presley and the first wife of Michael Jackson, was placed on life support on Thursday.
Her mother, Priscilla Presley, who rushed to her side had earlier reassured fans that her daughter was receiving the best care in a statement she had released.
However, the 54-year-old died on Thursday night, as she did not make it after being placed in a medically induced coma.
