The crisis in the Ekiti State House of Assembly continued on Thursday with seven (7) members of the minority Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) electing Hon. Dele Olugbemi as new Speaker following the absence of 19 lawmakers of the majority All Progressives Congress (APC), who were in Lagos for an event.
The Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Adewale Omirin has however described the action of the PDP assemblymen as illegal insisting that he remains the substantive Speaker of the assembly.
