SAN FRANCISCO, July 08, (THEWILL)  – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will arraign Mr. Ikedi Ohakim, a former Governor of Imo State and Mr. Murtala Nyako, a former Governor of Adamawa State, over allegations of graft during their terms in office following their arrest on Wednesday.

The EFCC will also arraign Mr. Nyako’s son, serving Senator Abdul-Aziz Nyako, who allegedly helped his father launder at least N15 billion in stolen state funds using companies under his control.

The EFCC had on Tuesday arrested Sule Lamido, a former Governor of Jigawa State and his two sons on similar charges.

The Lamidos will be arraigned at a federal high court in Kano, while Ohakim and the Nyakos will be arraigned in Abuja, THEWILL gathered from sources with knowledge of the development.

Meanwhile, a former Head of Service (HOS), Mr. Steve Oronsaye is being interrogated at the headquarters of the EFCC in Abuja over allegations of graft during his tenure.

Oronsaye served as HOS between June 2009 and November 16, 2010, when he retired. Mr. Oronsaye also served on the board of the NNPC, which was dissolved some days ago by President Muhammadu Buhari.
