December 28, (THEWILL) – Ebonyi South senatorial zone comprising of Afikpo South, Afikpo North, Ivo, Onicha and Ohaozara Local Government Areas, has flagged off what it termed a “door-to-door campaign” for the All Progressives Congress(APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahamed Tinubu.

Addressing party supporters, Ebonyi State Governor, David Nweze Umahi, who is also the Ebonyi South senatorial candidate, noted that the door-to-door campaign flag-off was in favour of the presidential candidate, senatorial candidate, gubernatorial candidate and other candidates contesting under the platform of APC.

Governor Umahi, who further disclosed that his intention to contest for the senate was to represent the interest of the Ebonyi people at the centre, thanked the organisers of the event.

“Let me, on behalf of my immediate family, thank the organisers, all the Local Government Chairmen, the Commissioner, the Working Committee of APC, the Coordinators. This is not my idea. We are grateful to you.

“Today, even though we are flagging off my senatorial campaign, we are also flagging off Asiwaju, Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru and all the APC candidates in Ebonyi South.

“Let me thank you so much for this. Every obedient person should get this sticker and paste it on their doorpost. We are grateful to all the NGOs.

“Now, let me tell you that I am not a senator of one zone. I am going to the centre to fight for the infrastructure and empowerment of Ebonyi people and there will be no longer intimidation of Ebonyi people,” Umahi assured.

Earlier in his goodwill message, Commissioner for Information, Barrister Uchenna Orji, said the people of Ivo would vote Umahi, not only for the love they have for his administration but for the love they have for him for life.
