February 03, (THEWILL) – Voting is currently ongoing at Onufuturu polling unit in Umunaga, Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, for the election of a senator to represent Ebonyi South zone.
In an interview with Chinonso Agwu, a voter, who after casting his vote, told THEWILL that some persons had voted and gone.
“Yes the crowd is much. Some people have voted and left. INEC and their materials arrived here by 8am.
THEWILL monitored the election and can report that voters were spersely seen at various polling units, indicating low turnout.
Supervisory Presiding Officer for Onufuturu Ward, Adedeoye Adeleye, however, described the election as peaceful and said the Biomodal voter accreditation system (BVAS) was working.
“As early as seven o’clock we have arrived for the elction”, she said.
