February 04, (THEWILL) – Barely twenty-four hours after the inauguration of the newly elected state chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Abuja by the Mai Mala Buni-led national working committee, the Chairman of the Ebonyi APC, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, has disclosed the type of leadership he would operate.
A release signed by the Chairman and made available to THEWILL, read that Chief Okoro, had undertaken to run a party leadership hinged on the tenets of democracy.
He promised to run a party with reverence to popular opinion and ideology of the party to enable him evolve a successful and people’s oriented leadership.
Okoro said, “In return for your roles as strong pillars of our dynamic party, I wish to reinstate that your support cannot be disparaged under my watch as your Chairman.
“Therefore, may I reaffirm that my administration will be anchored on democratic tenets and loyalty to the popular opinion and ideology inorder to successfully steer the ship to the preferred destination”, he said.
He further expressed appreciation to President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari and the party’s National leadership led by its Chairman and Governor of Yobe State Mai Bala Buni, for putting up the historic and elaborate ceremony in the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Abuja.
He also thanked the Chairman South East Governor’s Forum and Ebonyi State Governor His Excellency Chief Engr. (Dr) David Nweze Umahi, (FNSE, FNATE), for his mentorship which has not just reorganised and revamped the APC in the region but also has made it a formidable force with very bright prospects in the future.
