Dominguez Header Earns Forest Point Against Brentford

October 01, (THEWILL) – Brentford were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw away at Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon, in the Premier League. The Bees took the lead in the 58th minute when Christian Norgaard headed in from a free kick after Forest had been reduced to 10 men just two minutes earlier, with Moussa Niakhate picking up a second yellow card.

However, the hosts showed great spirit to bounce back quickly. Despite being a man down, Forest equalised in the 65th minute through a brilliant looping header from Nicolas Dominguez after Harry Toffolo had whipped in an excellent cross.

Brentford piled on the pressure in search of a winner, with manager Thomas Frank throwing on attacking substitutes Neal Maupay, Saman Ghoddos and Michael Olakigbe. However, it was to no avail as Forest held firm to claim a hard-earned point.

The draw means Brentford have now gone six League matches without a victory. Meanwhile, the point sees Forest climb up to 11th in the League standings.
