November 29, (THEWILL) – Following three sexual assault lawsuits, Sean Love Combs, popularly known as Diddy, has taken a temporary hiatus from his position as chairman of Revolt, the music-focused television network he co-founded in 2013.

A statement shared on Revolt’s Instagram page reads, in part: “Sean Combs has stepped down from his position as chairman of Revolt. While Mr. Combs has previously had no operational or day-to-day role in the business, this decision helps to ensure that Revolt remains steadfastly focused on our mission to create meaningful content for the culture and amplify the voices of all Black people throughout this country and the African diaspora.”

This comes in the wake of allegations by American singer, Cassandra Ventura, also known as Cassie, who accused Diddy of rape and assault spanning a decade. Cassie, a former artist on Diddys’ Bad Boy record label, settled with him just one day after filing the lawsuit.

Last week, Sean Combs faced another lawsuit under the New York Adult Survivors Act from Joi Dickerson-Neal, alleging drugging, sexual assault, and abuse, including revenge porn. Joi claims the incident occurred in 1991, leading to severe and lasting injuries. The lawsuit names Diddys’ companies as defendants, seeking a jury trial and compensation for mental and emotional distress, pain, suffering, and damage to her reputation.

The third suit was filed by a plaintiff identified as Jane Doe, who claimed that Diddy and American artiste, Aaron Hall, took turns sexually assaulting her and other women at the singer’s apartment sometime back in the early 1990s.

Diddys’ representatives denied all the allegations tagging them as fabricated claims and attempts at money grab.

Diddy, along with Andy Schuon, launched Revolt on October 21, 2013, and secured a distribution agreement with Comcast Corporation, the largest American multinational telecommunications and media conglomerate. Chief Executive Officer, Detavio Samuels, emphasised Revolt’s mission to reshape the global narrative for black individuals by creating the largest and most influential black storytelling platform, driven by creatives.
