October 10, (THEWILL) –Â Liverpool’s Luis Diaz would be sidelined with a knee injury at least until December, which is a troubling setback for the Reds as Jurgen Klopp’s side struggles this season.
In Liverpool’s 3-2 loss to Arsenal on Sunday, the Colombian exited the Emirates on crutches, and Klopp instantly speculated that the injury might be serious although it seems to be less severe than initially anticipated, he will fortunately not need surgery.
However, it is highly improbable that he will be ready in time to represent Colombia at the World Cup. Beginning with this week’s UEFA Champions League encounter against Rangers, Diaz will be unavailable for Liverpool’s final ten games before the World Cup break.
On Boxing Day, when the Reds travel to play Aston Villa, there is a high likelihood that he will be fit enough to return when the English Premier League season gets back underway.
