Delta Agog As PDP Gives Ochei The Green Light

SAN FRANCISCO, November 25, (THEWILL) – There was jubilation galore across the three senatorial zones of Delta State penultimate Saturday as the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) screening committee in Portharcourt, South-South Nigeria gave Rt Hon Ochei the green light to contest the gubernatorial primaries in the state.

Rt Hon Ochei, the immediate past speaker and a frontline gubernatorial aspirant in the state was cleared unencumbered.

Reports from segments of the Delta polity in respect of the clearance attes to the fact that Ochei’s gubernatorial aspiration enjoys a pan- Delta acceptability.

In the words of Collins Ogaga, a resident of Ozoro(Isoko North LGA) in the Delta South Senatorial zone ” Ochei’s clearance is an indication that his aspiration has the divine design which no mortal can truncate”.

Similarly, Ese Oghoru an indigene of Ughelli in the Delta Central senatorial zone, ” this(clearance) has vindicated those of us his followers, when we preach the prospects of Developmental Governance as espoused by Rt Hon Ochei, a blueprint that will be beneficial to Deltans’.

Hon Joe Ugboma(Big Joe) former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party(PDP) in Ndokwa-East LGA in the Delta North Senatorial District expressed delight at the development which according to him ” is welcome development as it underscores the need to support an aspirant with a track record of achievements based on administrative adroitness”.

All the PDP governorship aspirants in Delta State were cleared to contest the party’s primary.
