BEVERLY HILLS, September 01, (THEWILL) – South African football club, Kaizer Chiefs says its goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi has suffered from a concussion after a nasty collision in the match against Bidvest Wits.
BEVERLY HILLS, September 01, (THEWILL) – Kaizer Chiefs lost 1-0 to Bidvest Wits in the Absa Premiership on Sunday with the Super Eagles goalkeeper, Akpeyi substituted at the stroke of half-time, following his injuries after crashing into Mxolisi Macuphu.
According to the club, Akpeyi will be out for the next two matches at least and will be replaced by Bruce Bvumawas.
“Daniel Akpeyi suffered a concussion on Sunday against Wits. He is ruled out for the next two matches. The medical team will continue monitoring his recovery process. We wish him a speedy recovery,” the club wrote on its official Twitter account.
