September 28, (THEWILL) – The Cross River State Chapter of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), has disclosed that God is behind the state governor, Senator Bassey Otu.

The State Chairman of the association, Apostle Dr Trinity Ogar, disclosed this in Calabar, while formally reacting to the victory of the governor in the state elections petition tribunal.

Speaking on the verdict of the tribunal, the state PFN Chairman, Apostle Trinity Ogar, added that God has a plan for the state through the state governor.

Apostle Ogar, who doubles as the Lead Pastor in Goldcity Gospel Ministry International, said, “You can see that God’s hand is involved in this matter and if you take a retrospective look from Otu and Odey’s emergence as candidate through elections and tribunal, you will see that God is involved.

“You will discover that there is a mystery in him which demonstrates the hand of God behind him. Those of us, who are spiritual men, when we see this, we know that there is a plan that God has for him concerning Cross River State.

“There is no need to fight because we can see in all ramifications that God is involved in his matter. Even if you go to the Supreme Court, God will still give him the mandate”, the PFN chair said.

He also called in the petitioners to sheathe their swords and join hands to build a beautiful state.

Apostle Ogar also charged the governor to show more working and work to justify the goodwill invested in him by the people of the state.

“Now that the coast is clear and the governor has won the case, the expectation is still very high from Cross Riverians.

“They should do something not to betray the goodwill of the people. They should show more working and deliver dividends of Democracy to Cross Riverians so that even people opposing them will understand that they are fighting a wrong cause.

“We should support the governor and ensure they excel so we can have a good state”, he said.

The three-man Governorship Elections Petitions Tribunal, in the state, headed by Justice Oken Inneh, has unanimously dismissed the petition filled by Sen. Sandy Onor and the PDP.
