COVID-19: 16 Persons Recover In Lagos, 6 In Osun, Discharged From Treatment Centers

SAN FRANCISCO, April 15, (THEWILL) – Sixteen persons with coronavirus have been treated, cleared of the virus and discharged in Lagos State.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced the development in Lagos Wednesday via Twitter, adding that 14 of them are males and two females. Three of the persons are foreigners from British, Chinese and Polish citizens.

All 16 were tested twice consecutively and the tests returned negative, he said.

“This brings the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our facilities to 85,” he said.

In Osun State, six COVID-19 patients were discharged after testing negative in two consecutive tests in line with the National Centre for Disease Control protocol, State Governor, Mr Adegboyega Oyetola, said in a Tweet Wednesday.

“Another good news from our Isolation Centre, as 6 more COVID-19 patients have tested negative twice, in line with @NCDCgovprotocol. The patients who are among the 127 Ivory Coast returnees have been discharged to join their families.

“This brings to 17, the number of cases that have tested negative twice and have been discharged after treatment in our State. The remaining two patients at our facility are responding to treatment and it is our hope they will recover soon and be released to reconnect with their families,” the governor tweeted.
