BEVERLY HILLS, November 04, (THEWILL) – Senator James Manager (Delta South, PDP) and Deputy Senate President, Ovie Omo-Agege (Delta Central, APC) Monday had their elections upheld by the Court of Appeal sitting in Benin City, Edo State.

The court dismissed the appeal filed by Omo-Agege’s challenger, Hon. Evelyn Oboro of the PDP, while former Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan of the APC lost his appeal against Manager’s victory because he failed to sufficiently prove his case.

THEWILL recalls that the election petitions tribunal in Asaba ordered INEC to conduct a rerun election between Uduaghan and Manager but Justice Jaro Adamu, who read the judgment by the three-man panel set aside the judgment of the tribunal ordering for re-run election.
