May 5, (THEWILL)- The Executive Chairperson, Yorro Local Government Council, Hon Martina Anthony, has enjoined the newly appointed Supervisory Councillors, Special Advisers and the Chief of Staff, to remain accountable in the discharge of their duties and also stand united.
Hon Martina said this at the Local Council on Saturday, while inaugurating seven supervisory councillors, ten advisers and a chief of staff.
The Council Boss stressed that the appointees must uphold integrity in the discharge of their duties and maintain transparency in their activities.
“To our Supervisory councillors, special advisers and chief of staff, I congratulate you on your appointment. Your willingness to serve reflects your love for our community and your desire to contribute to its growth and prosperity.
“As leaders, you are entrusted with the noble task of representing the voices and aspirations of our people. I urge you to lead with compassion, fairness and transparency, always mindful of the needs of those you serve. You must remain accountable to those whom you serve at all times.
“For every government to be successful, it requires collaboration and cooperation among all stakeholders, including elected officials, appointed representatives, and most importantly, the people we serve, so I need all these qualities from you all”, she said.
Hon Martina applauded Gov Kefas Agbu for his exemplary leadership and assured that her Council will continue to provide the support needed for the administration to succeed in delivering the dividends of democracy to Tarabans.
In their separate remarks, Hon. Umar Yusuf of Gashaka, Hon. Davoro K. Titus of Zing and Hon. Nigeria Jatau, of Lau Local Governments, all congratulated Hon Martina on accomplishing the task and also assured the Government of their dedication towards the five-finger agenda of Dr Agbu Kefas in their capacities as custodians of the grassroots.
