Prior to the English Premier League fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool on Sunday, Tottenham head coach, Antonio Conte, has received a significant fitness boost.
Dejan Kulusevski, a star winger, who has not played since suffering an injury against Marseille in the Champions League in September, has resumed training and may even be eligible to face Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.
In his pre-match press conference, Conte provided the most recent information on players’ conditions as well as what Son Heung-Min’s treatment options are for his recent eye fracture, while also suggesting that Rodrigo Bentancur may start for Spurs.
“Bentancur is much better and is part of training today, it was the same for Kulusevski today he had a half training session with us. Son is now in surgery. No decision on the World Cup. Richarlison and Romero are not available,” the Italian continued, referencing the other injuries Spurs have been forced to contend with recently.
“The problem is Lucas Moura is having different phases for his pain in his tendons, today was really bad. I asked him to try and be available because we need him. Romero, if he has the possibility to play with one leg, he’d play with one leg.”
