July 05, (THEWILL) – Segun Agbaje, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Guaranty Trust Holding Company Plc (GTCO PLC), clocked 60 years on July 4, and to celebrate, the former Managing Director of Guaranty Trust Bank, who is not one to give in to revelry, decided to celebrate his landmark age.
He chose to celebrate outside the shores of the country, Italy to be precise. A destination party was quite the surprise but that was not what shocked those who closely followed Agbaje’s conservatism over the years.
The tall and athletic-looking bank chief flew in afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, aka Davido, who is on honeymoon with his newly wedded wife, Chioma, after his electrifying wedding in Lagos, to serenade him and his guests made up of Nigeria’s elites spanning across the financial sector to the business sector etc.
The birthday boy’s joy was infectious. He shed all toga of his prim and proper demeanour as his guests joined him to dance to Davido’s pulsating energetic beats. The Grammy-nominated singer performed some of his popular songs, ‘Assurance’ and ‘Away’ from his ‘Timeless’ album and all present joined him to sing along while cheering him on.
