CNS Graduates 67 Sailors, Charge Graduans On Discipline, Hard Work

August 11, (THEWILL) – The Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Adm. Emmanuel Ogalla, has charged the 67 graduating young sailors of the Nigerian Navy Military School (NNMS), to maintain discipline and hard work gained during their training to succeed in future.

Ogalla gave the charge in his remarks during the Passing Out Parade (POP) of the Nigerian Navy Military School, Ikot Ntuen, Oruk Anam Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom, on Saturday.

The CNS, who was represented by Rear Adm. Kennedy Ezete, Chief of Administration, Naval Headquarters, urged the young sailors to be good ambassadors of the school in all their future endeavours.

“I, therefore, wish to reaffirm my untiring support to the Nigerian Navy Military School. As you are passing out the second set of young sailors today.

“I charged all young sailors to put the training gained into good use and be good ambassadors of your alma mater”, Ogalla said.

He acknowledged the discipline, dedication and commitment of officers, ratings and civilian personnel of the school in grooming the young sailors for the nation.

He said that the Nigerian Navy has contributed immensely to the educational development of the country through the Nigerian Navy military school.

The CNS commended the Commandant, NNMS, Capt. Ogbonaiya Oko for accomplishing the vision and mission of the school, by producing able-bodied and disciplined boys, who are mentally and physically conditioned for service in the Nigerian Navy.

“Undeniably, the vision and mission of the school hold many prospects, not only for the Nigerian Navy but also for the nation at large.

“I’m deeply pleased with the level of commitment and excellence, discipline and leadership of the school.

“This event is the celebration of the excellence epitomised as one of my drivers’ command philosophy, which is to pursue purposeful training and human capital development.

“We have all gathered here to celebrate all the graduating young sailors, for their hard work and dedication, but most importantly, to honour the outstanding young sailors, who have worked tirelessly to distinguish themselves”, he said.

Our Correspondent reports that the high point of the graduation ceremony was the award of prizes and certificates to the three best-graduating students.
