October 01, (THEWILL) – The Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will on Wednesday, October 4, swear in 23 newly appointed judges of the Federal High Court (FHC).

A statement on Sunday, by the court’s Director of Information, Dr. Festus Akande, said the event would be held at the Main Courtroom of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

The newly appointed judges are:

1. Dipeolu Deinde Isaac from Ogun State;

2. Ogundare Kehinde Olayiwola from Ekiti State

3. Agbaje Olufunmilola Adetutu from Lagos State

4. Musa Kakaki from Kaduna State

5. Abdullahi Muhammad Dan-Ige from Sokoto State

6. Sharon Tanko Ishaya from Kebbi State

7. Salim Olasupo Ibrahim from Ogun State

8. Yilwa Hauwa Joseph from Gombe State

9. Wigwe-Oreh Chituru Joy from Rivers State

10. Owoeye Alexander Oluseyi from Kogi State

11. Anyalewa Onoja-Alapa from Benue State

12. Amina Aliyu Mohammad from Katsina State

13. Abiodun Jordan Adeyemi from Kwara State

14. Hauwa Buhari from Federal Capital Territory

15. Aishatu Auta Ibrahim from Borno State.

16. Hussaini Dadan-Garba from Bauchi State

17. Ibrahim Ahmad Kala from Gombe State

18. Mashkur Salisu from Zamfara State

19. Onah Chigozie Sergius from Enugu State

20. Egbe Raphael Joshua from Bayelsa State

21. Ariwoola Olukayode Jnr. from Oyo State

22. Ekerete Udofot Akpan from Akwa Ibom State

23. Ogazi Friday Nkemakonam from Ebonyi State.

Meanwhile, a valedictory court session will be held on Tuesday, 10th October, 2023, in honour of the late Justice Chima Centus Nweze at the Main Courtroom of the Supreme Court at 10:00 am.

The CJN will preside over the session which will, among other things, feature the presentation of tributes by the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chairman of the Body of Senior Advocates of Nigeria, and the President of the Nigerian Bar Association, in honour of the departed Jurist.
