July 19, (THEWILL) – American R and B singer, Chris Brown, has congratulated Senator Ademola Adeleke for winning the Osun State Governorship election.
In the early hours of Sunday, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared Adeleke the winner of the election held on Saturday.
The ex-lawmaker secured 403, 371 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who polled 375,027 votes.
Adeleke’s victory at the poll has continued to attract commendations in several quarters, with many people congratulating him.
Joining the hordes of well wishers, Brown shared a photo of Adeleke, who is Davido’s uncle, via his Instagram story.
Brown is friends with a few Nigerian singers including Davido.
The singer and Davido have also worked on some songs together, including Blow My Mind and Shopping Spree.
