Wike disclosed on Wednesday during a media parley in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, while responding to claims that he supported Adeleke during the Osun governorship election.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, made the allegations in a statement in which he described recent reports attributed to a Washington-based consultant as politically motivated claims being packaged as sensitive United States intelligence.

Marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1888/2026, the suit was instituted by former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, with the ADC joined as the second plaintiff.

The development followed allegations by the NDC that candidates it duly nominated were removed and replaced with individuals the party said were unknown to the organisation and had neither been nominated nor authorised to contest under its platform.
