July 03, (THEWILL) – The alleged decline in the fortunes of Caverton Helicopters may have led to the appointment of Captain Ibrahim Bello, as the new Managing Director, to handle its affairs.
The Aviation Company, which is owned by Chief Remi Makanjuola, was a leading provider of marine, aviation, logistics services to local and multinational oil and Gas companies, but has been struggling to stay afloat for quite a while now.
It was gathered that the challenges facing the company took place when Rotimi Makanjulola, one of the founder’s son was the Managing Director and Accountability Manager.
All the daunting obstacles necessitated the urgency in the change of management, with the hope that things will pick up and the aviation firm will recover its lost glory.
Bello, who has taken over as the new managing director, has over 34 years of continuous aviation experience in various sectors. He started his aviation career with the Nigeria Air Force and served with the Presidential Fleet.
He joined the company in 2011 as the EC155 and Aw 139 pilot. He rose through the ranks until his new appointment. The company has also appointed Rotimi Makanjuola as the Group Chief Operating Officer, COO.
