Cagliari Announce Ranieri As New Manager

December 23, (THEWILL) – Claudio Ranieri is returning to Sardinia after 31 years, to take on the reins of managing Cagliari and the Italian club picked a famous phrase from his time at Leicester City to announce his return.

In the Twitter post of the announcement, they used a picture of a typical Sardinian bell that is used to alert cattle and on which the words “Dilidin Dilidon” were written. Although it was translated to “Dilly Ding Dilly Dong” in English, it was how Ranieri described the way he woke up his players at Leicester City.

Cagliari, which is now ranked 14th in Serie B, brought in Ranieri to take over from the fired Fabio Liverani.
